ConsultantHSS seeks a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer for its engineering consultancy team in Dubai.
The role delivers mechanical systems for multidisciplinary building and infrastructure projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and undertake mechanical design for building and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare heat load and hydraulic calculations, sizing, specifications, schematics, and schedules.
- Design and coordinate HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and fuel/gas distribution systems.
- Review project requirements, codes, authority regulations, green building standards, and client specifications.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, infrastructure, and other disciplines.
- Review drawings, technical submittals, equipment selections, and design documentation.
- Conduct design reviews and guide junior engineers and BIM teams.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international standards; attend technical meetings and support resolution of design issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- 12–15 years of professional MEP design experience, including engineering consultancy and multidisciplinary projects.
- Strong HVAC, thermal calculations, plumbing, firefighting, energy efficiency, and standards knowledge.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HAP; Navisworks experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of UAE authority requirements, codes, standards, and approval processes.
- Able to independently manage mechanical design packages and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Applicants must currently reside in the UAE and be available to join within two months or less.
Pay
- Pay is AED 10,000 to AED 30,000 per month.
