Lead - IP1 IRU Deployment

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead deployment and integration of new fiber POPs across BBNL, IP1, and IRU routes.
• Manage end-to-end fiber rollout projects including planning, design validation, deployment, testing, and commissioning.
• Optimize existing IRU and IP1 infrastructure for capacity, resilience, and performance.
• Coordinate internal teams, telecom partners, infrastructure providers, and regulators.
• Conduct backhaul planning, route assessments, POP readiness reviews, and capacity dimensioning.
• Monitor timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and deployment milestones.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare updates for government and regulatory authorities.
• Publish periodic dashboards covering deployment status, risks, achievements, and action plans.
• Drive network integration, vendor management, and field coordination.
• Maintain project documentation, route inventories, deployment records, and governance reports.

Required qualifications and experience

• Hold a bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Have 8-12 years of experience in telecom infrastructure, fiber deployment, backhaul planning, or transport network operations.
• Understand optical fiber networks, BBNL, IP1, IRU agreements, POP deployment, and transport network architecture.
• Have managed large-scale fiber rollout and network integration projects.
• Know telecom regulatory requirements and government infrastructure programs.
• Demonstrate stakeholder, project, and vendor management skills.
• Be proficient in project tracking, reporting, dashboard preparation, and data analysis.
