Lead future foresight and strategic planning initiatives, particularly for government entities in the UAE.
Identify emerging trends and disruptions, develop future scenarios, and turn foresight insights into strategies for long-term planning and decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead government foresight and planning projects in alignment with UAE Federal Government Future Foresight Guidelines.
- Analyze trends, drivers of change, weak signals, and potential disruptions affecting government priorities.
- Develop scenarios, foresight frameworks, long-term outlooks, strategies, roadmaps, and recommendations.
- Integrate foresight into government planning, policy development, and performance management; develop and monitor KPIs.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder consultations, guide teams, and oversee reports, assessments, and executive presentations.
- Monitor implementation of recommendations and alignment with government priorities.
Academic qualifications
- A master’s degree in Strategic Foresight, Public Policy, Strategic Planning, or a related field.
- A PhD in a relevant discipline is preferred.
Experience
- 8–15 years of professional experience in future foresight and strategic planning.
- At least 5–8 years delivering foresight and strategic planning projects with leading government entities in the UAE.
- Experience in scenario development, trend analysis, strategic foresight frameworks, government initiatives, performance management, KPI development, and translating findings into actionable strategies.
Preferred certification
- An accredited certification or professional program in Future Foresight or Scenario Planning is preferred.
