Role overview

What you'll do

• Own each government deployment from scoping through UAT, go-live, and post-launch reporting; personally lead complex or high-stakes deployments.
• Present architecture, performance, and roadmap to senior officials, including IAS-level stakeholders and department heads.
• Own discussions on data security, hosting, and compliance, including SDC/NIC, MeitY-empanelled cloud, and data residency.
• Lead technical solutioning for RFPs and proposals, including architecture, effort estimates, SLAs, and technical compliance responses.
• Run technical demos and pre-bid discussions with departments.
• Turn field learnings into platform priorities with Product and Engineering and represent the government customer internally.

Must-have qualifications

• At least 10 years in software engineering, including 4 or more years in client-facing deployment, solutions, or implementation engineering.
• At least 2 years leading engineers formally or as a tech lead across multiple concurrent deployments.
• Hands-on Python and/or TypeScript, APIs and integrations, SQL, AWS or GCP cloud infrastructure, and production monitoring skills.
• Practical experience shipping LLM-based systems, including prompting, RAG, function calling, evaluation, and guardrails.
• Track record delivering complex systems to enterprise or public-sector clients under tight timelines and changing requirements.
• Executive-level written and spoken English and Hindi communication, including presenting to non-technical senior audiences.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site during critical deployment phases.

Good-to-have and preferred

• Government, PSU, or government-funded programme delivery experience is a plus; government procurement and delivery knowledge is also a plus.
• Gujarati or another regional language is a good-to-have for future state deployments.
• Voice or telephony experience, including SIP, IVR, contact-centre platforms, or ASR/TTS vendors, is preferred.
• Experience at a system integrator, GovTech firm, or high-growth startup is preferred.
