Field engineering and construction

• Lead the project construction quality program, including audits, checkpoints, factory acceptance testing, and site inspections.
• Verify contractor work complies with drawings, specifications, schedules, ES&H plans, quality standards, and applicable safety codes.
• Coordinate with Engineering and other disciplines to provide timely information to construction teams.
• Monitor contractor performance, project status, schedule, cost control, and change management.
• Lead site technical coordination with contractors, engineers, the client, and stakeholders.
• Review schedules, resource and commodity charts, engineering deliverables, material schedules, and submittals to maintain construction work fronts.
• Verify permits and licenses are in place and that work complies with their requirements.
• Lead a team reviewing contractor submittals, technical queries, field changes, drawings, and as-builts.
• Ensure site materials and equipment meet applicable standards and technical specifications.
• Guide construction engineers and contractors, coordinate interfaces, and lead review meetings.
• Ensure systematic and complete project closeout.

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 15 years of relevant large-scale construction experience in a contractor role or senior role with a project management consultant or delivery partner.
• Experience managing contractor performance in progress, quality, and compliance.
• Experience supervising or administering subcontractors or client contractors.
• Experience in KSA, the Middle East, or the GCC is preferred.

Knowledge and skills

• Thorough knowledge of applicable international standards, specifications, codes, and construction safety practices.
• Knowledge of safety codes, equipment requirements, production factors, and electrical construction safety procedures.
• Experience with Lock Out Tag Out, permit-to-work processes, and ES&H and quality management systems.
• Good written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, professional judgment, and technical leadership are needed.
• Experience with Six Sigma tools and methodologies is preferred.
• Preferred installation experience includes campus-wide medium-voltage distribution, transformers or switchgear, bulk low-voltage installations, and building electrical networks and devices.

• The advertised work location is Riyadh, and the role includes project-site field engineering activities.
