Role overview
Lead the estimation process for joinery projects, preparing accurate cost assessments, competitive tenders, and commercially sound proposals.
Key responsibilities
- Lead preparation and submission of detailed joinery project cost estimates.
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and detailed material and labour costing.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Assess project requirements, specifications, and commercial risks.
- Coordinate pricing with design, production, procurement, and project teams.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives.
- Prepare tender clarifications, commercial proposals, and supporting documents.
- Manage multiple tenders and meet submission deadlines.
- Support commercial negotiations and project handovers.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lead Estimator or Senior Estimator in the joinery industry.
- Strong experience with a joinery manufacturer or specialist joinery contractor.
- Strong understanding of bespoke joinery, manufacturing processes, materials, and finishes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Strong knowledge of UAE suppliers, subcontractors, and market pricing.
- Estimating experience across luxury residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.
- Proficiency in relevant estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
