A Tier 1 main contractor in the UAE is hiring an Estimator as its order book grows.
The role covers the full tender process for high-value build projects, from initial enquiry through submission.
Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify scope, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare bills of quantities and take off quantities from drawings.
- Issue enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers; analyze and level their returns.
- Build rates for labor, plant, and materials; prepare cost plans, budgets, and tender submissions.
- Attend mid-tender and post-tender meetings with clients and consultants.
- Coordinate tender strategy with planning, design, and commercial teams.
- Support handover of successful tenders to the delivery team.
Requirements
- Proven estimating experience with a main contractor.
- UAE or wider GCC experience on build projects.
- Strong knowledge of measurement, takeoff, and rate build-up.
- Confidence dealing with subcontractors, clients, and consultants.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Excel.
