across business and technology projects.
The role is suited for a junior legal professional with experience in data protection, regulatory compliance, and technology-related legal advisory work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support privacy risk
- Identification, assessment, and tracking.
- Maintain
Privacy Risk Register
- and support
- Privacy by Design/Default
- implementation
- Support
Records of Processing Activities (RoPA)
- and data inventories
- Monitor and assess changes in global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR and equivalent laws)
- Draft, review, and update privacy policies, notices, and legal guidance
- Support
Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs)
- and related privacy rights requests
- Provide legal input for
Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs/DPIAs)
- Support privacy advisory for business and IT projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent).
- 2–3 years’ experience in legal counsel/junior lawyer role
- Experience in data protection, privacy law, compliance, or technology law
- Familiarity with
GDPR
- and comparable privacy frameworks
- Experience drafting legal documents and compliance materials
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with
DPIAs / PIAs
- Exposure to vendor contracts and data sharing agreements
- Experience in regulatory audits or compliance reviews
- Privacy certification (e.g., CIPP/E) is an advantage
Additional Requirements
- Bilingual (Arabic & English) is an advantage
