The Laundry Attendant – Valet collects, checks, records, and delivers guest laundry and dry-cleaning items in accordance with hotel standards.
The role requires careful garment handling, accurate processing, timely returns, and excellent guest service.
Key responsibilities
- Collect guest laundry and dry-cleaning items from guest rooms as requested.
- Check garments for stains, damage, and discrepancies before processing.
- Verify laundry lists and accurately record all items.
- Deliver clean and pressed garments to guest rooms promptly.
- Coordinate with the Laundry Department for timely processing and delivery.
- Handle guest garments carefully and maintain confidentiality of guest belongings.
- Respond politely to guest inquiries and communicate delays or special requests.
- Keep the laundry valet area clean and organized.
- Follow hotel policies, hygiene standards, and health and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel laundry department or similar experience is an advantage.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Handle guest garments with care and professionalism.
- Able to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
Work environment
The role is with Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island, a resort on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi.
