Laundry Attendant/Sewing Worker
Role Overview
Receives soiled laundry, counts and verifies against receipt for accuracy. Informs Laundry Group Leader of discrepancies.
Sorts laundry, loads washing machines, adds detergent and/or other laundry products. Washes, dries, folds or hangs items. Sorts according to operating units.
Maintains facilities and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition.
Operates sewing machine and attachments to repair uniforms, draperies, curtains, etc.
Mends, fits, tailors, and irons uniforms, linens, draperies, curtains, etc. Reports questionable conditions to supervisor. Performs related duties as required.

Minimum Education and Experience
Six months of sewing experience.
Equipment Utilized
Sewing Machines.
Washing machines.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Special Conditions
Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday, occasional weekends.
