L1 Network Support Engineer - Malaysia

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Monitor network infrastructure, connectivity, and alerts to identify and respond to incidents.
• Troubleshoot first-level LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, and basic routing issues.
• Support routers, switches, wireless access points, and other network devices.
• Diagnose initial faults and escalate complex incidents to L2/L3 engineering teams.
• Assist with installation, configuration, maintenance, and connectivity testing of network devices.
• Use monitoring and ticketing systems to track incidents and service requests.
• Maintain incident logs, technical reports, network diagrams, and support documentation.
• Follow escalation, change management, and SLA processes; coordinate with technical teams and service providers on resolution.

Required qualifications and skills

• CCNA certification.
• One to three years of relevant hands-on network support experience.
• Previous UAE work experience in an IT services company, system integrator, telecommunications company, or enterprise IT environment.
• Good understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and IT service management ticketing systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to work in a team-oriented, project-based environment.
• Willingness to relocate to Malaysia for the full three-year contract, subject to applicable work authorization.

Compensation

• Pay is stated as AED 2,300–8,000 per month.
