Kids Garment Purchase Assistant

Position

Main Responsibilities

• Assist the Purchase Manager or Buyer in sourcing children's garments, clothing, and accessories.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers on prices, samples, quality, and delivery dates.
• Prepare and maintain purchase orders, quotations, invoices, and supplier records.
• Follow up on orders from placement through delivery.
• Compare supplier prices and negotiate where required.
• Check garment samples for quality, size, fabric, color, design, and finishing.
• Monitor stock levels and help identify items needed for replenishment.
• Communicate with suppliers about delays, shortages, defects, and replacements.
• Maintain purchasing records and update relevant systems and Excel files.
• Coordinate with warehouse, merchandising, sales, and finance teams.
• Assist with market research on children's fashion trends, products, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Experience in garment purchasing, merchandising, retail, or fashion is preferred.
• Good knowledge of children's clothing, sizes, fabrics, and garment quality.
• Good Excel and computer skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good English communication.
• Ability to follow up with multiple suppliers and orders.
• Previous GCC retail or garment industry experience is advantageous.

Compensation

• Pay is QAR 3,000 to QAR 4,000 per month.

Workplace

• Work is performed in person.
