Junior Software Engineer

Role overview

Work focus

• Contribute to backend services and APIs for enterprise systems, including product information management, ERP, e-commerce integrations, and workflow automations.
• Assist in developing event-driven integrations across platforms and reliable components designed for long-term use.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development workflows, architecture patterns, and engineering guidelines.
• Explore GenAI applications such as RAG-based retrieval and vector search under senior-engineer guidance.

Main responsibilities

• Implement backend services and REST APIs using modern .NET and established patterns.
• Work with Senior and Staff Engineers on solution architectures and technical discussions.
• Apply clean code principles, basic automated testing, and clear documentation.
• Support long-term system maintainability through careful implementation and attention to quality.
• Learn and adopt AI-assisted development tools; support team experimentation with GenAI.
• Collaborate across countries and cultures, participate in code reviews, share learnings, and seek guidance.
• Work with product owners and domain experts to clarify requirements and deliver high-quality features.

Required qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 3–4 years of professional backend or software engineering experience.
• Foundational knowledge of .NET, C#, and ASP.NET Web API.
• Basic understanding of Azure, such as App Services, identity concepts, or DevOps pipelines, and motivation to learn.
• Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or PostgreSQL.
• Interest in event-driven architecture and modern integration patterns.
• Motivation to use AI-assisted coding tools and grow AI-augmented development skills.
• Willingness to collaborate across cultures in international teams and comfort in agile, fast-moving environments.

Nice to have

• Exposure to the product development lifecycle and experience in agile product teams such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Basic functional analysis skills, such as use cases or UML.
• Curiosity about vector databases, embeddings, or GenAI concepts such as RAG and knowledge graphs.
• Experience with other programming languages such as Node.js, Python, or TypeScript.
