Software Engineer in UBS's Qatar delivery team, building scalable software systems with a focus on Java, Python, and AI agent development.
Works with global IT teams to provide robust IT services and solutions supporting clients' asset and investment management.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure Java and Python systems.
- Architect, implement, and deploy AI agents integrated with business workflows.
- Collaborate with product, design, and research teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and long-term technical strategies.
- Track trends in AI frameworks, agent-based systems, and distributed computing.
- Experiment with emerging AI and backend engineering tools and methods.
Skills and experience
- University degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, with around three years of software development experience.
- Proven expertise in Java and Python, with strong knowledge of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience building and deploying AI/ML systems or intelligent agents.
- Good understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and microservices.
- Familiarity with modern cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker or Kubernetes).
- Communication and collaboration skills; ability to interpret detailed information, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
