**Employment Type:** Full-Time

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Junior Purchasing Officer** to join our team in Doha, Qatar.

The successful candidate will support procurement activities by sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, machinery, tools, spare parts, and services required for the company's operations, while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the procurement of materials, laboratory equipment, machinery, tools, spare parts, vehicles, and services in accordance with company requirements.
  • Source suppliers and obtain competitive quotations for equipment and operational requirements.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and monitor order status until delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure timely procurement of equipment and materials.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations based on technical specifications, pricing, quality, warranty, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate with technical departments to understand equipment specifications and procurement requirements.
  • Assist in negotiating prices, payment terms, warranties, and delivery conditions with suppliers.
  • Follow up on equipment deliveries, inspections, installation requirements, and related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, purchase orders, and delivery reports.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of critical materials and spare parts.
  • Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, damaged items, warranty claims, or discrepancies in received goods.
  • Support supplier evaluation and vendor performance monitoring.
  • Prepare procurement reports and maintain proper filing of purchasing documents.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and approved budgets.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and procurement process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience in purchasing equipment, machinery, tools, spare parts, or technical materials is preferred.
  • Good understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and purchasing documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience with ERP systems or procurement software is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement requests and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in Qatar or GCC countries.
  • Experience in construction, geotechnical, laboratory testing, engineering, or industrial sectors is an advantage.
  • Valid QID with transferable visa preferred.

**Employment Type:** Full-Time

**Salary:** Competitive salary package based on qualifications and experience

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR3,500.00 per month
