Junior Product Manager (remittance)

Role summary

Customer discovery and product direction

• Conduct customer interviews and gather feedback about needs, behaviors, and pain points throughout the remittance journey.
• Analyze customer data, product metrics, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support competitor analysis and industry research, and apply customer insights to product enhancements.
• Support Product Managers in defining product priorities and roadmap initiatives.
• Document business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications; contribute to feature prioritization and success metrics.

Product delivery and collaboration

• Support end-to-end delivery of remittance enhancements and new features, owning smaller initiatives under a Product Manager’s guidance.
• Prioritize and maintain the product backlog and coordinate with Engineering, Design, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Customer Support, and external partners.
• Coordinate UAT, release readiness, post-launch monitoring, and measurement of feature performance.
• Assist with product experiments and prepare Initiative Review Approvals with support.
• Build stakeholder relationships, facilitate product-squad discussions, and help resolve straightforward delivery challenges.

Communication and ownership

• Prepare product documentation, user stories, process flows, and release notes; present updates and communicate delivery status, risks, and dependencies.
• Take ownership of assigned initiatives, deliver against agreed timelines, and use feedback to improve.

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Project Management, Payments, FinTech, Banking, or a related role.
• Exposure to remittance, payments, digital wallets, banking, or financial services is preferred.
• Experience working in Agile product teams is an advantage.

Skills and preferred qualifications

• Able to conduct customer research and translate insights into product improvements.
• Comfortable analyzing product metrics, customer behavior, and operational data; strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Basic understanding of Agile product development principles; able to manage priorities and coordinate delivery activities.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to build relationships across technical and business teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of payment rails, foreign exchange, AML/KYC processes, and remittance regulations is preferred.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence, and experience in fintech or digital financial services, are preferred.
