Role overview
Six-month Junior Operations Analyst contract supporting the Home Office in an IT Operations Centre.
The role monitors real-time services and works with resolver teams to resolve incidents affecting end users.
The role is based on site in London and can only be worked within the UK.
Shift pattern
- The shift pattern is four days on followed by four days off, including two day shifts and two night shifts.
Essential requirements
- Candidates must be willing and eligible to undergo NPPV and SC checks; active clearance may be preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, inclusive teamwork, willingness to learn, analytical ability, responsibility and a user-focused approach are required.
Responsibilities
- Monitor infrastructure, networks and applications using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Raise, track and support resolution of incidents and problems using service management tools.
- Produce supporting reports and data, follow ITOC and ITIL processes, and contribute to service improvement.
- Understand business continuity arrangements and be prepared to work at an alternate facility at short notice.
Desirable experience
- ITIL Service Management, Lean, Agile, DevOps, Public Sector or Law Enforcement experience, and ServiceNow experience are desirable.
