Role overview
Junior Full Stack Developer role building new services and scalable web applications using AI Code Assistants.

Responsibilities
- Build solutions using Spec Driven Development and AI Code Assistants.
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications, back-end services, APIs, and databases.
- Implement code structures from team technical designs and write clean, well-tested, maintainable code.
- Participate in code reviews and team best practices; collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications; contribute to architecture discussions and maintain documentation.
Required qualifications
- 1–2 years of hands-on Java development experience, including Java code, REST APIs, or microservices.
- Knowledge and/or experience with React, Java 8, REST APIs or microservices, Spring Framework, Maven, and SQL.
- Experience with at least one front-end framework and back-end technologies; examples include React or Angular and Node.js, Java, .NET, or Python.
- Knowledge of SQL databases and familiarity with version control such as Git.
- Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns; able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Eligible for reliability security clearance, including five or more years residing in Canada.
Preferred skills
- Cloud platform experience with AWS, Azure, or OpenShift is a plus.
- AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Gemini Code Assist are a plus.
- Knowledge of Docker, cloud-based solutions, or automated testing frameworks is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, communication and collaboration, prioritization, and willingness to learn are listed as soft skills.
Compensation
- Estimated pay range is $65,000–$115,000; the posting does not specify a compensation cadence.
