Junior Data Analyst (Finance)

Overview

🛠 What You’ll Get Your Hands On

• Financial Reporting & Automation: Help to maintain, update, and automate weekly and monthly data extracts and financial KPI dashboards (e.g., GMV tracking, revenue burn rates, and unit economics per vertical).
• Data Integrity & Reconciliation: Partner closely with Finance to reconcile operational transactional data from the Super App warehouse with accounting and billing systems. Ensure that the data "ties out" —accuracy is paramount.
• Modeling Support: Support the Finance team by querying, structuring, and cleaning historical data sets required for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning models.
• Dashboard Development: Build, optimize, and maintain clear, user-friendly data visualizations in BI tools (Tableau/Power BI) for corporate finance stakeholders and leadership.
• Ad-Hoc Business Analysis: Respond to requests from finance leadership to investigate specific trends or anomalies (e.g., delivery cost fluctuations, merchant payout discrepancies, or marketing promo ROI).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work within a collaborative environment involving data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to ensure our underlying data pipelines capture the correct financial attributes.

🧙‍♂️ The Magic You Bring

• Education: A bachelor's degree in a quantitative or financial field, such as Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Information Systems.
• Technical Stack: Strong foundational proficiency in SQL (writing queries, joins, and data aggregation) and advanced Excel / Google Sheets (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, data structuring).
• Data Visualization: Hands-on experience or academic project exposure building dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy—an innate drive to identify errors or discrepancies in financial numbers before they reach leadership.
• Communication: Effective communication skills, with the unique ability to translate complex database tables into clear, actionable business insights for financial stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, prioritize tasks, and meet critical deadlines in Snoonu’s fast-paced, rapidly scaling environment.

• Python/R: Familiarity with Python or R for basic data manipulation and scripting (e.g., Pandas).
• Industry Experience: Prior internship or academic exposure related to e-commerce, food delivery, logistics, or parcel delivery services.
