Junior Data Analyst

About the role

Reporting and analysis

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports covering revenue, trip activity, fleet utilization, customer acquisition and operational efficiency.
• Develop and improve interactive Tableau dashboards; monitor KPIs and investigate unexpected changes.
• Prepare datasets, summaries and preliminary insights, and document standardized metric definitions.
• Analyze customer behavior, fleet performance, productivity and operational trends; conduct ad-hoc cross-functional analyses.
• Assist with forecasting, segmentation, retention analysis and other projects; communicate findings and business implications.

Data quality, automation and infrastructure

• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, join, aggregate and analyze relational data.
• Validate data accuracy, investigate discrepancies, maintain reusable queries and document business logic.
• Clean, transform and reconcile data; build basic workflows using SQL, Python, Excel or other suitable tools.
• Improve reporting refreshes and pipelines, reduce manual reporting dependencies, and document workflows and validation checks.
• Support analytical models, centralized datasets, warehousing, transformations, pipeline testing and reusable datasets with technical teams.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience, including internships, academic projects or equivalent practical experience.
• Working SQL knowledge, including joins, aggregations, subqueries and common table expressions.
• Proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions and data analysis.
• Working knowledge of at least one analytical or visualization tool, preferably Tableau or Power BI.
• Basic Python proficiency for analysis or automation, or demonstrated ability to learn it.
• Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving and attention to detail; clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn technologies and understand business processes.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases; familiarity with pandas and NumPy.
• Understanding of SQL window functions and basic query optimization.
• Exposure to data modeling, ETL/ELT, automated pipelines or cloud warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery or ClickHouse.
• Experience with Git, APIs or scheduled data processing; knowledge of statistical analysis, forecasting or customer analytics.
• Exposure to mobility, transportation, automotive, subscription or consumer-platform businesses.

• Location: Dubai, UAE.
• Reports to a Data Analyst or Analytics Lead.
