Junior Cladding Designer role focused on drafting for steel structures, cladding, roofing, and architectural projects.
Education and experience
- Requires a diploma or associate degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architectural Drafting.
- Requires 1–3 years of relevant drafting experience; a fresher or new graduate willing to pursue cladding design may also be considered.
- Technical certification in CAD drafting is an advantage.
Required skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to prepare shop, fabrication, as-built, GA, and detail drawings.
- Ability to understand engineering and architectural drawings, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare BOQs.
- Familiarity with IFC drawings and consultant comments and with documentation and drawing revision control.
- Requires dimensional and geometric accuracy.
Preferred software
- Knowledge of Revit, BIM, Tekla Structures, SolidWorks, or other 3D modeling software is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Prepare shop drawings for cladding projects.
- Prepare fabrication, as-built, GA, and detail drawings.
- Interpret engineering and architectural drawings and incorporate IFC drawings and consultant comments.
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare BOQs.
- Maintain project documentation and drawing revision control.
- Produce drawings with dimensional and geometric accuracy.
