The role owns the payables cycle from invoice verification through vendor payment and reconciliation, supporting vendor trust, internal controls, and accurate books.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on accounts payable or general accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, payable processes, and internal controls.
- Strong Excel skills for reconciliations, reports, and data analysis.
- Experience with at least one accounting or ERP system, such as SAP, Oracle, or Odoo.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Professional English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
- Saudi or GCC VAT experience is a plus.
Roles and responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and payment requests with proper approvals, coding, and supporting documents.
- Prepare payment schedules and execute vendor payments in line with agreed terms and deadlines.
- Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve open items quickly.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date accounts payable records in the accounting or ERP system.
- Support month-end close, including AP accruals, aging reports, and payable reconciliations.
- Monitor outstanding balances, staff advances, and employee reimbursements.
- Assist with VAT documentation, audit preparation, and regulatory reporting.
- Work with procurement and operations to streamline invoice approvals and payment processes.
