Junior Accountant Job In Dubai

Veto Road Contracting

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Process and verify invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Monitor customer and supplier accounts and ensure timely processing of transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies when required.
• Monitor cash flow transactions and assist with cash management activities.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist with VAT filing, tax compliance, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and filing systems.
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing required financial records and documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams, procurement departments, and management regarding project-related expenditures.
• Verify project costs and ensure accurate recording of construction and contracting expenses.
• Assist the Finance Manager with accounting, reporting, and administrative tasks.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and UAE regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience within the construction, contracting, or infrastructure sector is highly preferred.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting practices.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, and reporting functions.
• Experience using accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
