Junior Accountant

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage daily income, expense, payment, and receipt transactions; maintain current financial records and transaction documentation.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents; monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Perform bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations; prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and assist with monthly closing.
• Follow up on outstanding payments with relevant departments and assist with payroll and employee financial records.
• Maintain VAT documentation, coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, and other external parties, and resolve record discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and UAE financial regulations, while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; at least 1 year of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• VAT and UAE accounting experience is preferred; ERP or accounting systems experience is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Good English communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and as part of a team and handle confidential information.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.

Compensation and benefits

• Pay is AED 2,500–3,500 per month, based on experience; performance bonus is offered.
