Junior Accountant

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare manual journal entries with appropriate supporting documents.
• Record fixed-asset purchases and maintain accurate asset records; depreciation calculations and entries are outside the role.
• Manually record supplier invoices and accounts payable entries in the accounting system.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and assist with payment preparation.
• Record daily transactions, expenses, and petty cash.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end closing.
• Use Excel PivotTables and VLOOKUP to organize, check, reconcile, and summarize accounting data.
• Maintain organized and confidential financial records.

Job Specification

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is specified in the job specification.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience is specified; a separate experience listing requires 2 years.
• Strong practical Excel skills, especially PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
• Good understanding of debits, credits, and manual journal entries.
• Practical knowledge of recording fixed-asset purchases and accounts payable.
• Familiarity with accounting software.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and time management; willingness to learn and follow established accounting procedures.
• A Diploma is listed as required in the education section.

Pay

• AED 1,800–2,500 per month is stated in the description; the structured salary field states AED 1,800 per month.
