Jr. Mobile Test Engineer

Role Overview

Testing and Defect Management

• Designs and executes test cases for web and mobile applications and validates business workflows and user journeys.
• Performs functional, integration, regression, sanity, exploratory, usability, and performance testing.
• Logs, prioritizes, tracks, documents, and retests defects, including reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
• Verifies fixes and performs impact analysis during regression cycles.

Web and Mobile Testing

• Tests across browsers, operating systems, and mobile devices, including Android and iOS.
• Validates responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, device compatibility, navigation, permissions, notifications, and device interactions.

Integrations and Agile Work

• Supports integrations involving Sitecore CMS, Bullhorn, Bhoomi API Layer, third-party APIs, and digital services.
• Conducts basic API validation and testing using Postman.
• Participates in stand-ups, sprint planning, requirement workshops, defect triage, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Tools and Technologies

• Hands-on exposure includes Cucumber with TypeScript, Virtuoso QA, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Postman, and Azure DevOps.
• Preferred exposure includes Appium, Selenium WebDriver, mobile automation frameworks, API automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic awareness of Apache JMeter, BlazeMeter, and performance and load testing concepts.

Required Skills

• Requires strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle and defect life cycle.
• Requires manual web and mobile testing, functional, regression, sanity, and integration testing, Agile/Scrum, API testing, browser compatibility, and responsive testing.
• Requires structured test case creation, analytical and problem-solving skills, communication, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills and Education

• Preferred knowledge includes Sitecore, Android and iOS testing, Appium, mobile automation, SQL, API integrations, low-code/no-code automation, and test automation concepts.
• An ISTQB Foundation Certification is preferred.
• Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
