Job Title: Civil Building Construction Project Engineer

Role overview

Planning and coordination

• Assist the Project Manager with planning, organizing, and coordinating project activities.
• Prepare, update, and monitor schedules; coordinate daily communication among clients, consultants, contractors, and internal departments.
• Follow up on meetings, site inspections, approvals, and pending tasks.

Documentation and reporting

• Control drawings, RFIs, submittals, material approvals, correspondence, and other project documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, meeting minutes, and status updates.
• Track progress and flag risks, delays, or issues requiring corrective action; support quality and safety documentation.

Procurement and site support

• Coordinate material submittals, approvals, and deliveries with procurement.
• Monitor manpower, equipment use, and subcontractor performance for efficiency and cost control.
• Ensure site activities comply with specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations; coordinate civil, MEP, and architectural disciplines.
• Follow up on consultant comments, attend coordination meetings, and assist with payment applications, variation claims, and cost tracking.

Approvals and close-out

• Coordinate authority submissions and approvals with Dubai Municipality, DDA, Nakheel, and other local authorities.
• Assist with as-built drawings, O&M manuals, handover documents, snagging, testing, and final inspections.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of civil construction project experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, project coordination, and documentation control.
• Authority approval knowledge is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of MS Project or Primavera.
• Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and attention to detail; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of construction health, safety, and quality standards; team-oriented, proactive, and able to take initiative with minimal supervision.

Employment and pay

• Full-time, permanent role.
• Pay: AED 8,000–10,000 per month.
