Java FullStack Developer role for client Infosys, hired on an employment contract.
The role is based in Dubai with a hybrid schedule of three onsite days per week.
Design and development
- Contribute to technical design by analyzing application requirements with senior technical engineers.
- Translate technical solutions for small- to medium-sized initiatives into low-level designs and working code.
- Design, develop, code, and maintain medium- to large-scale enterprise applications and modules.
- Write secure, optimized code that follows the customer's approved coding standards.
Quality and production support
- Participate in rotational on-call support and resolve production issues within SLAs with minimal supervision.
- Ensure built-in quality and 100% unit testing as part of the CI/CD pipeline.
- Analyze and fix identified defects while minimizing rework; use refactoring to reduce code debt.
- Implement logging and monitoring hooks in developed code.
Standards and continuous improvement
- Stay current with relevant technologies and apply learnings to improve code quality.
- Follow customer coding standards and contribute to software engineering playbooks and standards documents.
- Resolve a variety of technical issues using engineering expertise.
Competencies
- Solid understanding of unit testing, functional testing, and test automation.
- Skill with system design tools.
- Strong Agile software development skills.
- Strong systems analysis and technical design skills.
