Global Payments is hiring a Software Engineer II for its Access to Cards payments team.
The role focuses on backend development, account updater services, and support for development and DevOps efforts.
The position involves regular interaction with teammates and the product owner.
What You Will Own
- Develop account updater services and software enhancements or new products.
- Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software for networked and Internet-related applications.
- Lead a team of 3-4 people when required.
- Support development and DevOps activities.
- Build web services and API-based automation testing solutions.
Technical Skills
- Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, microservices, web services, SQL, and NoSQL are required.
- Experience is required with AWS, Hibernate, JUnit, Spring Batch, and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge is required of design patterns, Tomcat, JBoss, RDBMS, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra.
- Experience is required with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, Ansible, Apache Kafka, and ActiveMQ.
Experience and Qualifications
- The role requests 4-6 years of experience in Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, microservices, web services, SQL, and NoSQL.
- Strong Core Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and web application development knowledge is mandatory.
- Candidates should translate requirements into designs, follow coding and SDLC practices, and take end-to-end ownership.
- Candidates should be comfortable with AI tools and terminology.
