Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Spring Boot and Quarkus.
• Integrate and manage Keycloak for authentication, authorization, and role-based access control.
• Design, optimize, and query SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Implement secure, stateless APIs with JWT-based authentication.
• Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis.
• Optimize performance through database tuning, caching, asynchronous processing, and profiling.
• Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams on scalable deployment to OpenShift.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code and implement unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions.

Required skills and experience

• 8 to 10 years of experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java 17 or later; Java 21 or later is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Quarkus.
• Solid understanding of Keycloak, OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases; examples include PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Cassandra.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, API gateways, and distributed systems.
• Proven debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
• Strong understanding of database indexes, JVM tuning, asynchronous processing, and caching.

Nice-to-have skills

• Reactive programming experience.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures.
• Exposure to Grafana, Prometheus, APPD, or OpenTelemetry.
• Prior work on high-throughput, low-latency enterprise applications.
