Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable and technically capable IT Support Technician to assist the IT Manager in maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure and providing daily technical support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining networks and devices, and ensuring all systems operate efficiently and securely.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and set up workstations, computers, printers, scanners, routers, and other peripheral devices.
- Inspect and maintain computer hardware, including keyboards, HDDs, and related equipment.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems, software applications, and system functions.
- Support and maintain local area networks (LAN) to ensure stable connectivity and performance.
- Monitor and maintain the security and confidentiality of company systems and networks.
- Provide technical assistance and user support for software, hardware, and IT-related concerns.
- Schedule and perform system upgrades, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues through repair, replacement, and system debugging.
- Maintain records of IT maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and inventory.
- Monitor IT equipment availability and coordinate procurement requests when needed.
- Conduct regular system checks and audits to ensure optimal functionality.
- Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing and software maintenance when required.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies, information security procedures, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in IT support, technical support, or a similar role.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.
- Experience with installing and configuring applications and IT systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Detail-oriented and proactive in resolving technical issues.
- Able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong commitment to maintaining system security and operational continuity.
- Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
