About This Role
Overview
We are looking for an experienced
Senior IT Systems Administrator
to join our team and take ownership of our data center operations, infrastructure, and end-user support environment.
This role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical expertise across systems, networking, security, and enterprise IT operations.
Data Center & Infrastructure
- Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure (power, cooling, cabling, access control).
- Administer enterprise servers (rack, blade, tower) and storage systems (SAN/NAS).
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere / Hyper-V), including VM provisioning and optimization.
Networking & Telephony
- Support Cisco networking (switching, routing, VLANs, troubleshooting).
- Administer Cisco IP Telephony (CUCM/Unity), including user provisioning and configuration.
- Manage firewall infrastructure, including policies, VPNs, and monitoring.
Microsoft Infrastructure & Cloud
- Administer Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Manage Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, licensing).
- Configure and manage Microsoft Defender security and compliance.
Backup, DR & Security
- Manage enterprise backup solutions, scheduling, and restore testing.
- Oversee disaster recovery planning and drills.
- Manage endpoint protection and support security assessments and remediation.
End-User Support
- Provide hands-on support for \~80 users (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers).
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Vendor & Asset Management
- Manage vendors, partners, SLAs, and service delivery.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle management.
Procurement & Projects
- Evaluate technologies and support IT projects.
- Prepare BOQs, technical specs, and support RFP/RFQ processes.
Renewals & Documentation
- Track contracts, warranties, and subscriptions.
- Maintain documentation (network diagrams, SOPs, configurations).
- Prepare IT reports (uptime, incidents, inventory, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- **10+ years of hands-on experience**
- in IT systems administration and data center operations.
- Strong expertise in:
- Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO
• Virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V)
- SAN/NAS storage & backup solutions
- Cisco networking & IP Telephony
- Firewall and IT security operations
• Microsoft 365 & Microsoft Defender
- Experience in IT procurement (BOQ, RFP/RFQ, vendor evaluation).
- Strong end-user support experience.
Language Requirement
- **Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken & written) is mandatory.**
