Role Description
The IT Support Specialist role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Abu Dhabi, with the flexibility to perform some tasks from home.
The specialist will provide first-line technical support for desktop computers and related IT systems, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues for onsite and remote users.
Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to help desk requests, setting up and configuring workstations and peripherals, maintaining user accounts and access permissions, and documenting support activities and resolutions.
The role also involves monitoring system performance, coordinating with external vendors when needed, and supporting IT best practices to ensure data security and reliable operations for the organization’s teams and facilities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Technical Support and Help Desk Support skills for resolving user issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across hardware, software, and basic network environments.
- Candidates should possess experience working with Desktop Computers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Candidates should possess foundational Information Technology knowledge, including operating systems, office productivity tools, and security practices.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in an IT support or help desk role within industrial or engineering environments is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work independently and in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Availability to work part-time hours and flexibility to attend onsite requirements in Abu Dhabi as needed.
