Supports and maintains IT systems, including desktop provision, network infrastructure, software, and business applications.
Provides a technically sound working environment and support for organizational users.
Responsibilities
- Resolve user technical problems and collaborate with teams and end users on incidents.
- Troubleshoot system, network, hardware, and software faults; document solutions in the IT Knowledge Base.
- Provide user guidelines and maintain installation procedures, configuration procedures, manuals, and guidelines.
- Install and configure hardware, operating systems, and applications to standards.
- Monitor systems, networks, and data center availability and resiliency; keep systems running smoothly.
- Maintain IT asset records, contribute to compliance audits, and coordinate equipment and consumables purchasing with vendors.
- Contribute to IT projects and perform other duties consistent with the role grade.
Qualifications and experience
- University degree in computer science or another relevant discipline.
- At least 3 years of similar-role experience and hands-on technical experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, hardware, software, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with IT ticketing systems, asset management, user account administration, and IT policies and procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and user-support skills with a customer-focused approach.
Preferred certifications
- ITIL, A+, CCNA, Azure Fundamentals, and O365 certifications are preferable.
