Role overview

Project delivery and governance

• Define delivery strategy, scope, estimates, schedule, costs, assumptions, dependencies, staffing, deliverables, and integrated project plans.
• Report progress, risks, issues, decisions, and recommendations to IT leadership; communicate relevant changes to project stakeholders.
• Lead diverse teams through influence, coordinate multi-site and global work, and maintain internal and external relationships.
• Manage vendors and system integrators through selection, contract negotiation, statements of work, governance, financials, change controls, and delivery oversight.
• Maintain plans and deliverable tracking, monitor actuals, control scope, manage resources, and address schedule and cost variances.
• Manage project risks, issues, quality gates, assurance, stakeholder signoffs, and delivery commitments.
• Coach project leads and IT resources and improve PMO processes, tools, methodologies, and project management capabilities.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of IT project delivery experience, including 3–5 years leading full delivery lifecycles and managing diverse teams.
• Experience delivering large, complex application projects or programs and managing multiple system integrators.
• Experience managing end-to-end projects, including plans, resources, budgets over CAD 1 million, actuals, and steering committees.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
• Project management certification or recognized curriculum completion, such as PMP or PRINCE2.
• Strong communication, business acumen, stakeholder relationships, prioritization, multitasking, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to coordinate 20 or more shared resources and handle delegation, motivation, coaching, and conflict management.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project Professional, and Excel, and in SharePoint.

Preferred experience and assets

• Manufacturing or related-industry experience; Consumer Packaged Goods experience is preferred.
• Global deployment experience, AI use case delivery from MVP to full-scale deployment, product management knowledge, and French/English bilingual competency are assets.
• SCRUM Master certification or successful project delivery in hybrid or agile environments is an asset.
• Cross-functional exposure to Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and HR/Payroll is an asset.
