IT Planning Analyst (Contracts)

Role overview

Contract lifecycle and procurement

• Prepare, review, and maintain contractual documents in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts, Supply, Legal, and internal stakeholders to ensure contract clarity, accuracy, and alignment.
• Oversee contract execution and monitor fulfillment of contractual obligations against agreed terms and conditions.
• Support Contract Owners and Representatives during tendering with Supply and Legal coordination.
• Support execution through timely procurement processing, accurate SAP transactions, and alignment with approved IT OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
• Complete contract close-out accurately and on time in accordance with policies and closure requirements.

Sourcing and supplier performance

• Engage stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle, promote effective communication, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide sourcing strategy input to mitigate risk, optimize costs, and align procurement with business objectives and best practices.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct contract and supplier evaluations to assess value delivery, compliance, and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, law, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in IT contract management, procurement, or supply chain; oil and gas, energy, or industrial experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IT contracting principles, procurement strategies, and vendor governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with contracts for software licenses, SaaS, cloud services, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity solutions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and detail-oriented skills, including ability to interpret and draft complex contract terms.

Mandatory requirements

• Proficiency in ERP and contract management tools, such as SAP.
• Understanding of CAPEX and OPEX budget alignment in contract execution.
• Experience working with legal, technical, and procurement teams in a regulated industry.
• Ability to manage high-value, complex IT contracts in line with corporate governance and risk mitigation protocols.
• Understanding of compliance requirements and audit readiness in contract lifecycle management.

Preferred certification

• Certification in contract or procurement management, such as IACCM/WorldCC or CIPS, is preferred.
