IT Business Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and support process improvements and recurring or year-end business activities.
• Plan analysis tasks across Waterfall, iterative, and Agile software development life cycles.
• Document and track project risks and mitigation strategies.
• Create process maps, business requirements, user stories, and solution-delivery documentation.
• Configure, maintain, and support business applications, forms, reports, and system configurations.
• Provide functional application and business-process support; maintain project records and follow governance processes.
• Develop and execute test plans, support user testing and UAT, and assist with training and knowledge transfer.
• Gather application integration requirements and improve process flows and user documentation.
• Maintain production applications according to customer requirements, compliance standards, and audit policies.
• Propose and optimize application configurations for usability and information availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Technology Management, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, application support, or process automation; internship and co-op experience count.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Business acumen; engineering and construction industry experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of English is required for collaboration with Canadian or global leadership team members outside Québec.

Technical skills

• Process automation or low-code platform experience, such as AgilePoint, Appian, or Power Platform, is an asset.
• SQL experience is preferred.
• Exposure to application development technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, or Blazor.
• Competencies identify SQL, ASP.NET, C#, Excel, and Visio as technical background.
