Role overview
Support the IST/Switch (FIS) payment-switching platform for UAE operations.
Required skills and experience
- Hands-on IST/Switch experience in a production banking environment.
- Knowledge of IST/Switch Active/Active setup with dual-site implementation.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 8583, EFT transaction lifecycle, authorization, clearing and settlement.
- Understanding of Visa, Mastercard and regional switch interfaces and certifications, including mada, UAESWITCH or GCCNet.
- Experience with HSM, key management, EMV, PCI DSS and payment security standards.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux, shell scripting, SQL and log analysis.
Production support
- Monitor transaction flows and maintain high availability; investigate and resolve transaction, authorization, timeout, reconciliation and interface incidents.
- Perform root-cause analysis and problem management; provide 24x7 on-call or shift support and join major-incident bridges.
BAU operations
- Run health checks, batch monitoring, end-of-day settlement and reconciliation.
- Manage HSM keys, certificate renewals and scheme mandates; maintain message configurations, routing, BIN/institution setups and stand-in parameters.
- Handle service requests, user access and configuration changes; maintain runbooks and knowledge-base documentation.
Projects and enhancements
- Support product launches, scheme mandates, integrations, switch upgrades and migrations.
- Participate in requirements, design, configuration, SIT/UAT, production cut-over, deployment and release support.
- Contribute to disaster-recovery testing and business-continuity exercises.
Support schedule
- The role includes 24x7 on-call or shift-based support.
- Requested joining timeframe is two weeks, with a maximum of one month.
