Inventory Controller cum Receiver

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock entries in the system; monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Rotate stock using FIFO, minimize wastage, and conduct regular stock counts and audits.
• Receive supplier goods and verify quantities, quality, and invoices; record and store received items properly.
• Coordinate with suppliers about damaged or missing goods.
• Assist with daily cash receiving and handling, cash closing, and reconciliation against POS reports.
• Maintain records of sales, purchases, and expenses; prepare invoices, receipts, and vouchers.
• Assist with basic accounting and documentation similar to shop-accountant work.
• Prepare daily inventory and operational reports; maintain filing and documentation.
• Support management with audit and reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Commerce or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in inventory, warehouse, or retail store operations.
• Basic knowledge of accounting and stock management.
• Familiarity with MS Excel and POS systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced supermarket environment.
• Ability to communicate in English and Malayalam.

Compensation and benefits

• Pay starts at AED 1,500 per month.
• Food and accommodation are provided by the company.
• Company visa is provided; leave is as per company policy.
