About the Internship

Essential Duties

• Assist Client Advisors with daily account management.
• Create custom reports such as cash flow analyses and balance sheets.
• Organize and streamline client and business development information on Salesforce.
• Assist and attend client events.
• Research industry-related topics and present where applicable.
• Perform basic administrative tasks including presentation creation and book binding.
• Build and update financial models and conduct market and company research.
• Generate custom reports for Portfolio Managers using Addepar, Bloomberg, FactSet, and Excel.
• Collect, synthesize, and organize equity, fixed income, and economic research data.
• Analyze earnings conference calls and disseminate information to internal departments.
• Analyze portfolios to ensure they reflect Whittier Trust sector and security outlook.
• Research, write, and present a major project to the Investment and wider WTC team.

Qualifications

• Excellent academic credentials.
• Progress towards a Bachelor's degree; finance or economics preferred but not essential.
• Quantitative and analytical skills.
• Intellectual curiosity and emotional intelligence.
• Demonstrated strong interest in the wealth management industry.
• Advanced computer skills across all Microsoft Office programs and advanced Excel skills.
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Extra-curricular activities outside of school.

Eligibility

• Priority will be given to students graduating in 2027 and 2028.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Locations

• Internships are available in Pasadena, Orange County, West LA, San Francisco, and San Diego, California offices.
• Internships are also available in Seattle, WA and Reno, NV offices.

Duration

• The Internship Program runs for 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
• Expected start date is Monday, June 7, 2027.

• Video screening interviews: December 18th-21st, 2026.
• Final round interviews: January 4th-11th, 2027.
