International Tax Manager

Role Description

Responsibilities

• Review tax implications of business operations and advise on international tax structures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
• Prepare and review tax filings.
• Coordinate with external advisors and local authorities when required.
• Monitor changes in international tax law affecting the organization.
• Conduct tax research, assess tax risks, and support business planning from a tax perspective.
• Provide clear guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate documentation, contribute to process improvements, and support tax compliance training or awareness for relevant team members.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of tax law and international tax regulations across jurisdictions.
• Demonstrated experience in tax compliance and preparation, including returns and supporting documentation.
• Understanding of tax and accounting principles, cross-border transactions, transfer pricing basics, and financial reporting impacts.
• Relevant academic background such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field; CPA, CA, or CTA certifications are advantageous.
• Experience in international or corporate tax environments, preferably within SMEs or advisory firms; Middle East tax framework familiarity is beneficial.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills, attention to detail, and clear communication of complex tax concepts.
• Proficiency in standard office and accounting software, ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, and commitment to ethical, compliant business practices.
