Role overview

Audit responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and report risk-based financial, operational, and compliance audits.
• Evaluate internal controls, risk frameworks, and governance processes; maintain RCMs, audit programs, and working papers.
• Identify deficiencies, risks, and non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare reports and present findings to management; conduct follow-up audits.
• Review financial transactions, procurement, and operational activities for policy and regulatory compliance.
• Support the annual risk-based audit plan, investigate irregularities, and work with department heads to improve controls and compliance.

Required qualifications

• UAE nationality and at least five years of internal auditing experience are stated as mandatory in the source.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, auditing, business administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated financial, operational, and compliance audit experience, with knowledge of audit methods, risk assessment, controls, and governance.
• Experience preparing RCMs, working papers, and audit reports; familiarity with IIA standards, COSO, and applicable UAE regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and report-writing skills; advanced Microsoft Excel and Office proficiency.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple audits, and maintain confidentiality and professional integrity.

Preferred qualifications

• CIA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Experience in healthcare, government-related organizations, or diversified business groups is an advantage.
• Experience with audit management systems, ERP platforms, or data analytics tools is preferred.
