Oversees day-to-day audit execution, manages small audit teams, and ensures consistency and quality across assignments.
Emphasizes people supervision and technical oversight; plans, executes, and supervises assignments with limited supervision.
Audit delivery and oversight
- Identify and evaluate organizational risk areas and contribute to engagement audit plans.
- Perform audit procedures, define issues and criteria, review data and evidence, document client processes, and supervise team members.
- Manage multiple audit assignments; conduct interviews and investigations, review documents, administer surveys, and prepare working papers.
- Update working papers, audit procedures, communications, and related documents in departmental systems; draft audit observations and recommendations.
- Coordinate with auditees during fieldwork and ensure audits meet scope and timelines.
- Comply with internal audit standards, policies, and ethics; manage or attend opening and closing meetings as required.
- Communicate assignment results through written reports and presentations.
- Provide on-the-job training and regularly evaluate team-member performance.
Experience and education
- Requires 5–7 years of audit experience, including team leadership.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CIA, ACCA, CPA, or CFE is strongly preferred.
Capabilities
- Requires understanding of audit methodology and risk-based auditing.
- Requires independent work with minimal supervision, assignment management, team supervision, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Requires effective communication and report-writing skills, analytical and problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Requires proficiency in MS Excel and audit tools.
