Interior Fit-Out Quantity Surveyor / Cost Estimator

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender quotations for interior fit-out and decoration projects in Dubai and the UAE.
• Assist with project cost estimation, tender review, cost analysis, and cost planning.
• Develop, implement, and maintain material, supplier, and quotation databases, ensuring data integration and regular updates.
• Coordinate material inquiries, supplier quotations, price comparisons, procurement support, and commercial matters with project teams.
• Monitor costs during project execution, including variation pricing and orders, interim valuations, final accounts, and cost variance analysis.
• Collect and update local prices for materials, labor, and subcontracting to support tendering, procurement, and cost control.

Required qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant interior fit-out, decoration, or construction cost-estimation experience.
• Hands-on cost planning, tender preparation, commercial bidding, final account settlement, and variation-pricing experience.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese BOQ pricing standards and Hong Kong-style measurement and pricing methods.
• Proficiency with Glodon (广联达) and NewDawn Smart (新点智慧) quantity surveying and estimating software.
• Ability to interpret fit-out drawings, perform quantity take-offs, prepare BOQs, and analyze unit rates.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel formulas and functions for quotations, data management, and cost analysis.
• Practical interior fit-out cost-control experience and ability to independently prepare take-offs and quotations for standard projects.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, organized, and able to communicate and coordinate effectively in project-driven work.

Preferred qualifications

• Basic English for routine emails, material inquiries, and supplier communications.
• Valid driving license and practical driving experience.
• UAE experience in interior fit-out, commercial renovation, or construction projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with the UAE building materials market, supplier networks, and prevailing material and subcontractor prices is preferred.

Work location

• Work is in person in Dubai; commuting or planning to relocate to Dubai is preferred.
