Permanent Integration Lead opportunity based in Melbourne with a highly regarded organisation.
The role leads enterprise integration initiatives and combines hands-on technical delivery with strategic and architectural leadership.
The position develops, configures, and supports integrations between project and client enterprise systems.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of API, event, and file-transfer solutions.
- Contribute hands-on to MuleSoft flows, DataWeave transformations, and Confluent event-driven components.
- Make technical and architectural decisions, own workstream outcomes, and serve as the primary technical escalation point.
- Advise on platform investment and architectural direction; represent the practice in Architecture, Security, .NET, and Product engagements.
- Drive adoption of integration patterns and API standards.
- Define roadmaps and scalable solutions aligned with organisational goals and best practices.
Essential experience
- Hands-on Confluent Cloud or Apache Kafka development, including producers, consumers, event schemas, schema registry, event-driven patterns, and application code.
- Hands-on MuleSoft development covering flows, DataWeave, error handling, CloudHub deployment, and production-quality code.
- Strong AWS API Gateway experience, including deployment, usage plans, authorisers, backend integration, and production management.
- AWS Transfer Family configuration, endpoint management, and file-transfer patterns.
- REST API design, standards, versioning, OAuth2, mTLS or API-key authentication, and gateway integration.
- Experience with coding standards, reviews, static analysis, testing practices, Azure DevOps CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and automated deployment.
- Working knowledge of OWASP, encryption, and access-control patterns for customer-facing services.
Desirable experience
- Azure Integration Services, Microsoft Power Platform, or Boomi exposure.
- Java or C# development experience.
- Financial services experience.
