Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer with a strong background in the Oil & Gas industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and optimization of instrumentation and control systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.

The role requires close coordination with multidisciplinary teams to support project execution and operational reliability.

Experience

  • Minimum
  • 5–10 years of experience
  • as an Instrumentation Engineer in the

Oil & Gas industry

  • Proven experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of field instrumentation and control systems.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, calibration techniques, troubleshooting, and preventive/corrective maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with
  • DCS (Distributed Control Systems), PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA systems, control valves, transmitters, analyzers, and other field instruments
  • .
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work with
  • P&IDs, loop diagrams, cause & effect charts, instrument index, and technical drawings
  • .
  • Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and best practices related to instrumentation and control systems.

Mandatory Criteria

  • Oil & Gas industry experience is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of HSE requirements and safe work practices.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults related to DCS, PLC, SCADA systems, control valves, transmitters, and associated field instruments.
  • Review and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, technical drawings, and other engineering documentation for maintenance and modification activities.
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to execute planned shutdowns, preventive maintenance, and project activities.
  • Ensure all instrumentation activities comply with company procedures, safety regulations, and applicable industry standards.
  • Prepare maintenance reports, calibration records, and technical documentation as required.
  • Support commissioning, start-up, and system integration activities when required.
