Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical CAD Operator to join our construction team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and revising electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD while ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
The role requires close coordination with engineers and project teams to support the successful execution of construction projects.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Electrical CAD Operator within the construction industry or a related field.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparation and revision of electrical drawings.
- Experience in developing single-line diagrams (SLDs).
- Knowledge of lighting layouts, power layouts, and cable routing drawings.
- Understanding of electrical drafting standards and construction practices.
- Ability to interpret engineering designs and specifications accurately.
Mandatory Criteria
- Proven experience in preparing electrical drawings for construction projects.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining drawing accuracy.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with electrical engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with applicable project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, revise, and update electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD.
- Develop single-line diagrams, lighting layouts, power distribution layouts, and cable routing drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, client requirements, and relevant standards.
- Coordinate with engineers and project teams to incorporate design changes and resolve drafting issues.
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of all electrical drawings.
- Support project execution by providing accurate and timely drafting deliverables.
