Job Summary

Responsible for monitoring the implementation of institution- wide strategy in collaboration with academic and administrative leaders.

Supports functions and campuses to properly implement and continuously adhere to frameworks, policies, processes, and procedures related to institutional performance management, initiative management, and change management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Educate, coach and assist leaders and relevant staff on the balanced scorecard methodology, and facilitate the development and cascading of balanced scorecards at different hierarchical levels of the organization.
  • Design strategic and operational performance indicators to measure the institution’s overall performance at different levels.
  • Manage the performance reporting process to ensure accuracy, integrity and reliability of performance data.
  • Measure and evaluate organizational performance, and recommend strategic adjustments while formulating supporting change management plans.
  • Benchmark organizational performance against identified top performing universities and organizations as well as good practices in the higher education sector.
  • Monitor the performance of initiatives execution at the portfolio and initiative levels.
  • Monitor the performance the individual departments and campuses annual operational plans.
  • Coordinate and facilitate semi-annual strategic and operational performance review meetings.
  • Prepare strategic and operational performance reports against approved plans.
  • Any other task as assigned by the line manager Director of Strategy & Performance.

Required Skills

  • Strategic and Operational performance policies, processes, templates, forms, and standard operating procedures.
  • Strategy cascading architecture and framework based on the balanced scorecard.
  • Institutional change management framework.
  • Strategic budgeting performance reporting processes.
  • Relevant benchmarking, research, and study reports.
  • Initiatives performance management framework.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in Institutional Performance with at least five (5) years of experience in a managerial role.
