Inspector - Mechanical

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and test mechanical equipment to technical specifications and industry standards.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs, and field documentation.
• Inspect equipment and analyze performance data for optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Follow safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies at job sites.
• Guide junior technicians when required and manage spare-parts inventory and equipment tools.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience as a Field Engineer, Mechanical Technician, or similar technical field role.
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge and proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation procedures.
• Familiarity with technical documentation, blueprints, CAD software, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
• Strong organization, time management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in field-based settings.

Preferred experience

• CMMS software, predictive maintenance, or mechanical systems such as pumps, compressors, turbines, or HVAC are preferred.
• Oil and gas, manufacturing, utilities, or related industry experience is preferred.
• Leadership or mentoring experience with technical teams is preferred.

Workplace
