Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Quantity Surveyor role based in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will manage all cost-related aspects of construction projects, including preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost plans, and detailed estimates.

The role involves monitoring and controlling project costs, verifying contractor claims, preparing cost reports, and supporting value engineering initiatives to ensure financial efficiency.

Daily tasks include coordinating with project managers, engineers, and clients, analyzing variations, updating cost forecasts, and contributing to tender evaluations and contract administration.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will also support risk assessments, maintain accurate cost records, and promote adherence to company standards, local regulations, and client requirements.

Qualifications

  • 8 - 10+ years of demonstrated expertise in cost control, cost management, and cost planning to support effective project budgeting and financial oversight.
  • Strong capability in preparing, reviewing, and managing BOQs and related quantity take-offs in line with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Experience in cost reporting, including periodic financial reports, cash flow projections, and variance analyses for complex construction projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., RICS or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure or building projects, preferably within the Middle East region.
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts, tender processes, local market rates, and relevant regulations.
  • Proficiency with quantity surveying and cost management software, along with strong skills in MS Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities, with a focus on collaborative problem-solving.
  • Attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Professional member of a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyor in Quantity Surveying Division or any other Professional Member in Quantity Surveying with minimum post qualified experience of 05 years or Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying, with a minimum post qualified experience of 10 years or Master Degree in Quantity Surveying with a minimum post qualified experience of 08 years.
